International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) has set standards which requires Wood Packaging Materials, such as pallets, crates, boxes and dunnage used in transport cargo, be treated and marked, with the objective to develop a uniform standard to control pests in WPM used in global trade. One such standard is ISPM 15, which requires all wood packaging material to be heated to a minimum wood core temperature of 56 degree Celsius for a minimum of 30 minutes to kill quarantine pests. LHT is fully equipped with heat treatment facilities that conform to the ISPM 15 standards required by the IPPC. Wood Packaging Materials that had undergone heat treatments in LHT are marked with IPPC ISPM 15 logo as proof of treatment. Upon request, certificate will be issued. |
